Residency…And I’m Not Talking About A Flat

I stopped straying a couple of days ago and settled back to reality once again.  Well my reality anyway which means I’m running around in my usual energizer bunny fashion with way more to do than any one day will allow.  After an action packed weekend and very little sleep once again – I woke up bright and early to get myself to the police station

If you’re thinking WTF…police station – don’t worry.  It was to get finger-printed for the criminal check which is required for immigration purposes.  What can I tell you about finger-printing.  It was a dull 20 minutes spent double-checking my name, washing/drying my hands, and then allowing someone else to control my wrist and finger movement to allow for a good set of prints.  What I learned from the experience is that I do a very good job drying my hands as most people have wet hands and mine weren’t.  It wasn’t even the only weird thing the guy at the police station said to me but I still wasn’t sure how to take that so I just said….mmmm, okay.  Other than that the finger-printing session went off without a hitch and hopefully the rest of the visa process will be just as easy.
